Big blocks cut into rectangles and parallelograms show off your T-shirts in style! I had fun designing this project, which pays homage to my state. This modern, masculine layout incorporates solid T-shirt backs and white background fabric to give the eye a place to rest. Add extra shirts and make this quilt any size you’d like! This design would make a great graduation gift and is a great choice for sports-themed Tees.

INGREDIENTS

Yardage is based on 42˝-wide fabric, unless otherwise noted.

Adult T-shirts: 15–28 large T-shirts for colored blocks and parallelograms

Fusible interfacing: Such as Stabili-TEE Fusible Interfacing (by C&T Publishing)—2 packages for twin XL, 2 packages for full, 3 packages for queen, 3 packages for king

White woven* background: 2¾ yards for twin XL, 3⅛ yards for full, 3⅝ yards for queen, 4 yards for king

Binding: ¾ yard for twin XL; ⅞ yard for full, queen, or king

Backing: 5¾ yards for twin XL, 7½ yards for full, 8⅝ yards for queen or king

Batting: 76˝ × 103˝ for twin XL, 89˝ × 103˝ for full, 103˝ × 103˝ for queen, 116˝ × 103˝ for king

* The white background could be knit fabric. In fact, I used a large piece of knit fabric from a thrift store, plus some white T-shirt backs to get enough for the white background. Using a knit for the background might require additional fusible interfacing.
